Looking for a Forever Family
|
Desmond
This 8-year-old boy needs a family that can help him develop to his fullest capability. Desmond was born in 8/98 and is of African-American descent. He abolutely loves to listen to the sounds of musical toys. Although Desmond is non-verbal, he can let you know what he needs by making simple sounds. If he does not like certain things, he cries. Desmond attends special educational school and receives different services for his personal development, such as sensory books to help him explore different textures, occupation therapy for auditory stimuli.
Desmond was born prematurely and has had severe medical issues since birth. He has a diagnosis of sickle cell trait, chronic lung disease, seizure disorder, mental retardation and blindness. He is fed through a G-tube.
Desmond is a great kid who needs a permanent family. If you would like to share your heart and your family with Desmond, please contact the Department of Children and Family services at (626) 229-3790.
