Juanito
Look at those big brown eyes! “Juanito" is a name of endearment for this little guy. This fellow is so sweet and gentle that he gives you attention when you are feeling down. He is growing and making good progress in his home. He loves plushed toys and stuffed animals. He really also enjoys alone time, mostly he enjoys playing by himself. He is of Latino descent and was born in June of 2000. Juanito has a very healthy appetite and he absolutely loves pizza! He is able to engage somewhat but really does his best around adult supervision and structure and a steady routine. He is working on staying potty trained although he needs to be constantly reminded to use the bathroom.
Juanito has a diagnosis of Mental Retardation. Juanito is non-verbal, although the current caregivers have heard him say small words such as "water". They believe he can talk, but that he chooses not to. He also understands both Spanish and English, and is learning some sign language. He is benefitting from Regional Center Services He is sweet natured, gentle, and kind.
If you are interested in adopting Juanito, please contact the Department of Children and Family services at (626) 229-3790.
