Maria

Maria is a Miracle little girl!  Born at only 28 weeks gestation, who would have thought she would be so beautiful, happy, and animated. She enjoys company and is waiting for her special family to engage her and play with her. Maria is of Latino descent and she was born in 2004. She is very petite for her age because she was born so premature. However, her size doesn’t get in the way of this social butterfly because she warms your soul with her cute little smile and large dark eyes.
Maria needs a family who will be able to provide her with a lot of love, attention, and care. She is developmentally delayed, has a diagnosis of mental retardation, heart murmur, retinopathy of both eyes, and hydrocephalus. She has trouble keeping with feeding and so this will require a great deal of attention when it comes to meal time.

Your Partner

DCFS partners with you by providing adoption preparation, training and home studies for residents of Los Angeles County. Home studies completed by other licensed adoption agencies are also accepted for possible placement of children.

The Adoption Assistance Program, which provides financial aid to parents for adopted children is available, as well as the State's medical insurance, Medi-Cal.
