Zarina
This young lady has a fun loving personality and a contagious smile. Zarina was born in November or 1992 and is of African American descent. Zarina is musically inclined and really enjoys toys that have can relay all types of tunes. She loves them so much that she is learning cause and effect because she wants to hear the sound when she pushes bottons. Soon she will be able to play any tune from her musical toys. Zarina also enjoys the outdoors and specifically loves going to the park. Although Zarina’s ability to speak is not to her fullest potential, she is able to relay her needs by smiling or crying.
Zarina currently benefits from Regional Center services and is receiving Physical and Occupational Therapy. Zarina is non-ambulatory and requires the use of a wheelchair.
Zarina’s diagnosis includes Cerebral palsy, Severe Mental Retardation, Seizure disorder (somewhat controlled), obstructive sleep apnea, isotropia, severe scoliosis, acne, and allergin rhinitis. Zarina requires assistance will all levels of daily living. She needs a family who has the capacity to attend to her medical needs and who has the ability to keep her medical appointment. She needs a supportive home that will encourage growth and help her reach her fullest potential.
