Children - Looking for a Forever Family

   Oei Mae

Carefully look into her eyes and you will sense her strong desire for a forever family. Despite all the obstacles in her short 11 years of life, Oei Mae continues to blossom like a flower. Oei Mei has cerebral palsy with left hemiplegia, as well as recurrent chronic and absent seizures that sometimes make it hard for her to focus.

Consequently, she is developmentally delayed and functions on a two to three year old level. Oei Mei is a fun-loving and happy child. You will find her extremely playful and energetic when the seizure subsides. When she is in the mood, she can walk with assistance. She enjoys school and does well when those she knows surround her. She is able to bond and develop relationships. All needed services are in place and she is receiving the best possible medical and therapeutic care. Oei Mei only needs the nurture and love that only a family can provide.

If you are interested in adopting Oei Mae, please contact the Department of Children and Family services at (626) 229-3790.
